The goal of the Good Shepherd Volunteer Program is to find and retain the best volunteers to help serve those in need in our community.
On an average day, the Good Shepherd serves more than a 1000 of the most vulnerable men, women and children in our community. Our many services provide a continuum of support from the basic necessities of life through guidance and counselling to community reintegration.
Volunteers assist us every step of the way. Over 2000 volunteers, many from local schools and churches, assist in the day-to-day work of Good Shepherd. They prepare and serve the daily foodline meal as well as our special annual dinners. Volunteers make our Christmas Programs and other special events possible, and they share their particular talents and abilities with the residents of our various facilities.
We simply could not carry out our work without them. Good Shepherd extends a heart-felt thank you to the hundreds of volunteers who give so selflessly of their time and talent. Each of you enriches the lives of our clients and helps us live out our mission to have Faith in People.
You make our community a better place to live. Thank you!
