Christmas Programs

christmas Marketplace

The Christmas Marketplace at the Venture Centre brings the joy of the holiday season to more than 6,000 people. This year's Christmas Market was held from Friday December 7 - Friday December 21, 2018. Good Shepherd will welcomed 2,418 households, comprising 2,300 adults and 4,400 children, who strolled the aisles of our marketplace for food, clothing and new toys. Preparing for the Christmas Marketplace is a community effort. A wide variety of organizations – private companies, schools, service groups – help Good Shepherd prepare for the 10 days of the Christmas Marketplace. During shopping time Good Shepherd welcomes more than 1,000 volunteers who support shoppers, bag groceries and toys, and restock the shelves.

Take a moment to think about the people in our community whose circumstances prevent them from experiencing the joy and warmth of the Holiday Season. With your help, Good Shepherd can provide families – and especially children – with hope and dignity. Your acts of kindness ease the burden of poverty when demand for Good Shepherd’s food supplies are highest. Will you help us stock our food shelves by participating in Good Shepherd’s Christmas Food Drive? Call 905.972.9485 x2210 to find out how you can help.

Good Shepherd'S Christmas Wonderland

Good Shepherd's Christmas Wonderland took place on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Hamilton Convention Centre, 1 Summers Lane in Hamilton. Guests enjoyed a festive meal served by Good Shepherd's staff and volunteers. Following dinner, children played in a magical play area and visit the jolly old elf himself. Every child received a brand new toy and adults received a gift package.
