Steps to Health is a health and lifestyle program for adults with a mental health diagnosis. The aim of the program is to help prevent chronic disease and enhance quality of life. 

Programs offered: Exercise, Cooking, Nutrition, Smoking Management and Weight Management

To qualify for this program, you must be:

  • A resident of the Greater Hamilton Area
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have a mental health diagnosis

Current Intake: Visit our office at 143 Wentworth St South in the lower level to fill out the paperwork needed to join the Steps to Health Program. Our office is open Monday - Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You are welcome to attend all programs once you have competed the paperwork at our office.

Take Control of Your Smoking Today!

Whether you want to quit completely or just cut back, Breathe Easier can help you take control of your smoking. 

Breathe Easier is held at 100 Locke Street South, every Thursday at 2:30 p.m. No other times or dates are available for this program. Participants receive up to 26 weeks of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), individual and group support and it’s all free!

Registration for this free program takes place at 100 Locke Street South, on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. You must attend this registration meeting before you can start getting NRT.

Please note 100 Locke Street South is a Good Shepherd apartment building. Please buzz the superintendent to get into the building. Meetings take place in the community room on the first floor.
